Northbrook Earth & Arbor Day welcomed spring to the Village Green Park Saturday.
Top quote overheard at Earth & Arbor Day: “Look at those cute little carrots.” said Ron Bernardi from Sunset Foods who grilled real carrots, served in buns free to all patrons. Trimmings added to the flavor.
“He’s ‘Best in Show,’” said Patty Evanger, of a colorful floral dog on the Northbrook Red’s Garden Center table. Evanger asked visitors to coin names for the floral dog. The best name was actually “Best in Show.”
