Two injured in crash at Butterfield and Meyers roads in Oak Brook

OAK BROOK — Two drivers involved in an accident Tuesday morning were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with unspecified injuries.

The accident occurred about 6:35 a.m. in the intersection of Butterfield and Meyers roads and involved a passenger car and a waste management truck, said Lt. Kevin Fleege of the Oak Brook Fire Department.

“The drivers were the only ones in each vehicle,” Fleege said, adding that he had no information about the severity of injuries incurred by either person.

Fleege said hydraulic fluid from the truck was spilled onto the road and was cleaned up by crews on the scene.
