It hasn’t always felt like winter this year, but summer is still far away. How can you keep warm these final months of winter and still feel stylish? There’s a lot to choose from.

Scarves continue to be fashionable this winter. The tube or infinity scarf remains a big hit. Just wrap it around your neck once, twice or three times, depending on the look you want. The more times it wraps around your neck, the warmer you’ll feel.

Scarves are bursting with patterns like stripes, polka dots and houndstooth and color, especially hot pink, blue, teal, purple, chocolate brown and pink. The color blocking trend this past spring carried over into winter with scarves that have bold wide stripes of color or just two colors on half the scarf.

One of the biggest trends has been the beanie hat or pom pom hat. Even Bears players were sporting the beanie striped winter hat as they waited on the sidelines.

Clever Girl in Western Springs sees Magic Mittens flying off the shelves. These mittens have gloves inside of them to keep your hands extra warm and extra comfortable in the cold.

Don’t forget fingerless gloves, which make it easier to use phones. Vintage Charm in La Grange carries a pair that’s cable knit and hot pink with faux fur trim, which gives it a whopping four trends in one item.~.
