OAK BROOK — A California-based health-care company is planning to bring 150 new jobs when it opens an office in Oak Brook.

Molina Healthcare arranges for the delivery of health-care services or offers health information management solutions for nearly 4.3 million individuals and families who receive their care through Medicaid, Medicare and other government funded programs in 15 states. Illinois is not one of those states; however, that is expected to change by the end of the year, said spokesperson Sunny Yu.

The company plans to occupy more than 37,000 square feet of office space at The Crossings, 1520 Kensington Road. The space currently is vacant, said Bob Kallien Jr., Oak Brook’s community development director. Yu said the move to Oak Brook would be done in phases, starting in March.

“As Molina Healthcare continues to grow, we are looking for space that has the right amenities and location for our company and our employees,” said Salvador Gutierrez, associate vice president of facilities for Molina Healthcare. “The Crossings meets those needs perfectly.”

Village President Dave Niemeyer said Molina Healthcare is a welcome addition to Oak Brook.

“A healthy, vibrant office market is good for Oak Brook, overall,” Village Manager Dave Niemeyer said. “The health care field is expanding with good paying jobs.” ~.
