Oak-Brook based food maker may bid for Michael Foods Group

TreeHouse Foods may make took to take over an egg and dairy products company, which could sell for more than $2 billion. According to Reuters in a Chicago Sun-Times report: 

Oak Brook-based food maker TreeHouse Foods Inc. is considering a bid for Michael Foods Group Inc., an egg and dairy products company, sources tell Reuters.

TreeHouse provides a range of private-label food and drinks to the retail and food-service industries. Its products include non-dairy, powdered creamer; single-serve hot beverages; specialty teas; salsa and Mexican sauces; and, jams and pie fillings.
