Your family can have a great night out — all night — for a reasonable price at It’s Tent Time with a Movie at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, in Sedgwick Park, 48th Street and 10th Avenue, La Grange.
The evening will begin with a free showing of Disney’s “Up,” the heartwarming animated movie about a retired balloon salesman who finds a unique way to relocate. You’ll even get free popcorn.
“At the end of the movie, those who registered for Tent Time camp out” will stay, said Kevin Miller, recreation supervisor for the Park District of La Grange. “We’ll have a campfire and make s’mores.”
After a night sleeping in their tents in the park, families will be served doughnuts and juice.
The cost is $30 per family for residents, $39 for nonresidents and $33 for families in the neighborhood network. You must bring your own tent and advance registration is required.
