Salute hosts tailgate pre-party for Advocate Health Care

In anticipation of their May 5 event, Salute 2012: Mission Possible, the gala committee of Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children’s Hospital held a tailgate party at Audi Westmont on March 9.
During the evening, more than 80 sponsors and other guests mingled with hospital executives and grateful patients while enjoying some of Audi’s luxury automobiles and enjoying tailgate food provided by Noteable Event Productions Inc.
Salute 2012 will be held at the United Club at Soldier Field. Dr. Melvin Wichter of Hinsdale, chair of the neurology department and co-medical director of the Neurosciences Institute at Christ Medical Center, will be honored as the Salute 2012 Outstanding Physician. Mayor Dave Heilmann of Oak Lawn is being recognized as Outstanding Community Member, and Midwest Anesthesiologists Ltd. is the presenting sponsor.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta, practicing neurosurgeon and chief medical correspondent for CNN, will deliver the keynote address. The evening will be hosted by Rob Johnson, CBS-Channel 2 news anchor.
Co-chairwomen of this year’s Salute are Christine Dannhausen-Brun of Hinsdale and Asta Razma of Chicago and Palos Park.
