Presence Health, formerly Resurrection Health Care and Provena Health, held its 18th annual Monarch Ball on March 3, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers.

More than 850 guests came out to show their support including Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon, Francis Cardinal George, emcee Dick Johnson of NBC-Channel 5, Sandra Bruce, president and CEO of Presence Health, and Guy Wiebking, chairman of the Presence Health Board.

Proceeds exceeded $900,000 to benefit the largest Catholic healthcare system in the state and monies raised will be used for mission-based programs within the hospitals such as nurse navigators, clinics for the underserved, and programs for pregnant mothers and newborns.

The night concluded with a black-tie flash mob.

Patrick Hickey, Donna Pugh and Don Hackl co-chaired the Monarch Ball Council. Working with them were Scott Betzelos, M.D., Susie Cassidy, Mary Ann Miller, Dina Morris, Michael Prendergast, M.D., Angelique Richard, Hugo Velarde, M.D., and Don Versen.
