Dancing for Seniors

Helping hand

The Helping Hand Family Association will sponsor its annual Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at Ashton Place, 341 75th St., Willowbrook. Family brunch

The Friends of the DuPage County Children’s Center will hold its annual Family Brunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 22 at Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace. The brunch will feature a face painter, a DJ and a silent auction, featuring products and services from local stores and attractions. Tickets are $65 for adults and $15 for children ages 4-12; children 3 and under are free. Tickets will be available at the door. Preview party

The Women’s Board of The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago will sponsor the preview party for the Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair on April 26, 5:30-8 p.m. There will be 120 dealers from across the United States and Europe. Guests will be able to preview the show while enjoying cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dessert. The event is a benefit for the RIC. Tickets start at $150 per person. Spring fashion show

The Fenwick High School Mothers’ Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show, Sweeten Your Style, will be held April 26 at The Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. Boutique shopping begins at 10 a.m. followed by the luncheon and fashion show at 11:30. Professional models, current parents and students will be showcasing spring fashions. Second City show

The American Diabetes Association has partnered with the Second City Touring Company to provide support of the local ADA Camp Program for children. The event will begin at 7 p.m. April 27 in the Theater of Western Springs, 4384 N. Hampton Ave., in Western Springs with a wine and cheese reception and a silent auction. Gallery trunk show

Mary Vincent Fine Art Gallery will host a trunk show of original oil paintings and graphic works of art on April 28-29 at their studio, 22 Calendar Ave., La Grange from 6-9 p.m. on April 28 and from 1-4 p.m. on April 29. The event will feature Walter Edelman, an art historian and docent from New York City who will bring more than 400 canvases and discuss tips for finding the right painting for a space as well as speaking about established and up-and-coming artists on the art scene. Admission is free; wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Kentucky Derby

The Hinsdale Auxiliary of the Children’s Home + Aid will host A Kentucky Derby Post Party on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook. Tickets are $125 each. For more information, visit www.childrenshomeandaid.org.

Salute 2012

Advocate Christ Medical Center will host their annual red carpet gala, Salute 2012: Mission Possible, on May 5 in the United Club at Soldier Field. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN, will deliver the keynote address. Tickets are $350 each, and tables of 10 are $3,000; a portion of that amount will be tax-deductible. A Day at the Races
