LA GRANGE — Coach Tom Cahill kept his promise and donned a pink skirt in support of breast cancer research.

The director of tennis at the La Grange Country Club and Hinsdale Racquet Club raised $500 from proceeds of any pink item purchased at the pro shop and any drill attended the week of June 11.

All proceeds were donated to the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.

“There was an overwhelming response,” said Cahill. “Everyone knows someone who has or had breast cancer.”

This was the first year Cahill strutted his pink skirt but he doubts it will be his last. Cahill credits his wife, Susie, for the idea.
