District 49 conducted its annual Family Science Night last week at Albright Middle School.

There were hands-on activities, exhibits, demonstrations and an evening show.

Organizations assisting in the event were the Naperville Astronomical Association, Chibots (Chicago Area Robotics Club), Lake View Nature Center and the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art.

Exhibits included Ramps & Rollers for younger kids, located in the library; and Reptile Rampage, with exotic reptiles and animals.

Make Your Own Slime! was a hands-on activity in the cafeteria. There were also more than two dozen science demonstrations, along with science exhibits and science puzzles.

Third-grade science projects were on display, as well as the winners of the Albright 2012 Science Fair.
