The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Robert Balciunas, 59, of 375 E. Crescent Ave., Elmhurst, was stopped at 11:12 p.m. May 27 on 16th Street at Route 83 and charged with DUI.
James R. Campbell, 24, of 4747 King Drive, Chicago, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. June 9 and charged with retail theft at Neiman Marcus, 6 Oakbrook Center, after allegedly attempting to steal three pairs of True Religion jeans worth $882.
Kathryn A. McGhee, 24, of 121 E. Madison St., Elmhurst, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. June 9 and charged with retail theft at Macy’s, 1 Oakbrook Center, after allegedly attempting to steal 12 clothing items worth $346.
Cerees Jones, 28, of 3320 W. Polk St., Chicago, and Tiffany Powell, 27, of 3001 W. 19th St., Chicago, were arrested at 2:33 p.m. June 1 and charged with retail theft at Sears, 2 Oakbrook Center. Jones allegedly attempted to conceal four items worth $117 in her purse, while Powell allegedly attempted to conceal 16 items worth $172 in her purse.
Nichole Walthers, 30, of 1813 Ogden Ave., Lisle, was stopped at 4:16 a.m. June 15 on Route 38 at Route 56 and charged with DUI.
Between 9 a.m. June 13 and noon June 14, someone broke into a car parked on the 1S500 block of Halsey Road and stole a GPS unit and radar device worth $800.
Between 5 and 7:10 a.m. June 14, someone punched the lock of a vehicle parked at Exelon Center, 2 Lincoln Center, and stole $650 in miscellaneous tools.
Between 7 p.m. June 13 and 7 a.m. June 14, someone stole an iPod worth $250 and $1 in change from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 1S500 block of MacArthur Drive.
Between 9:30 p.m. June 13 and 6 a.m. June 14, someone stole a GPS unit worth $199 from a car parked at a residence on the 17W300 block of Halsey Road.
Between 1:47 and 6:45 a.m. June 13, someone stole a catalytic converter worth $1,000 from a vehicle parked on the 1600 block of Fairfax Lane.
Between 8 a.m. and noon June 10, an iPod worth $130 was stolen from an apartment on the 17W700 block of Route 56.
Between 3:30 p.m. May 15 and 7 a.m. June 14, someone stole $30,000 in miscellaneous tools from the roof of a construction site on the 17W600 block of Route 38.
Between 2:30 and 6 a.m. June 14, someone broke three windows and caused $800 in damage to a Takeuchi excavator parked at Robinette Demolition, 0S560 Route 83.
