WESTMONT — A man wearing a construction vest and hat robbed a bank inside a Westmont grocery store Friday.

The robbery took place at the TCF Bank inside Jewel Food, 4 E. Ogden Ave., according to the FBI.

The robber was described as a black man with a large build, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1, wearing dark pants, tan shirt, and a construction hat and vest.

No weapon was shown in the robbery.

There have been at least 101 bank robberies in the Chicago area this year, according to the FBI. Last year there were 115.
