No damage from fire at Pete’s Fresh Market in Oakbrook Terrace

OAKBROOK TERRACE — Pete’s Fresh Market, 17W675 Roosevelt Road, did not incur any structural damage from a fire late Sunday night.
The Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District responded to a call from an auto alarm at 11:25 p.m. Sunday, said Lt. Johnny Turkovich.
Firefighters arrived to find black smoke that was caused by burning polystyrene trays used for packaging. The cause of the fire was still under investigation Monday afternoon, Turkovich said.
Peter Dremonas, a project manager, said Monday that the fire had no effect on the store or business.
“It was nothing,” he said.
