Oak Brook police issue citations during enforcement period

OAK BROOK — Stepped up enforcement Nov. 12-25 for seat belt violators and those drinking and driving resulted in 28 citations issued and one arrest made by the Oak Brook Police Department.

Oak Brook police were part of the Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization with the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Police issued 13 speeding citations, 3 seat belt citations, 2 citations each for suspended/revoked licenses and uninsured motorists, 7 miscellaneous citations, and made one drug arrest.

The stepped up enforcement for seat belt violators and those drinking and driving was conducted in an effort to reduce highway fatalities.
