BURR RIDGE — Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Elementary District 181 is losing another administrator.

Janet Stutz, assistant superintendent for learning, will leave the district June 30, 2013, to become superintendent of Orland School District 135. That is the district where Bridget McGuiggan, District 181’s first-year communications director, previously worked.

Former Associate Superintendent Mary Ticknor and Troy Whalen, assistant superintendent for business, left at the end of the 2011-12 school year to take superintendent positions in other districts. Ticknor is superintendent for Lemont High School District 210; Whalen is Summit Elementary District 104’s superintendent.

Stutz has been with District 181 since 2008.

“We are happy for Dr. Stutz in being given this exciting opportunity,” Superintendent Renee Schuster said. “She has done so much to advance the learning of District 181 students and the professional development of our staff, while providing support and communication to families and the community.

“The exceptional experience that administrators have in District 181 does sometimes mean that they will take that experience to a new school system. We encourage our staff to grow in their professional lives, just as we want to see students grow in their academic careers.”
