OAK BROOK — Oak Brook residents will have a choice of seven candidates when they go to the polls April 9 to elect their new Village Board.
Three trustee positions will be open on the seven-member board. The people who hope to take a seat are John G. Barr, Donald N. Adler, Phil Cuevas, William Denton, Steven Young and incumbents Stelios Aktipis and Mark M. Moy. Trustee Elaine Zannis is not seeking re-election.
Moy, Aktipis and Barr all had their nominating petitions ready for the village clerk when the filing period opened at 8 a.m. Dec. 17. Therefore, a lottery will be held to determine the order of their names on the ballot.
