OAK BROOK — York Township Democrats have filed a slate of candidates to challenge the incumbent Republicans.
All township elected offices are up in the April 9 election, and all are currently held by Republicans. Democrats filed for every position except assessor, meaning incumbent Deanna Wilkins is running unopposed.
For township supervisor, incumbent John Valle of Oakbrook Terrace is challenged by Ahmed A. Sayyed of Oakbrook Terrace.
Incumbent clerk Daniel Kordik of Villa Park is challenged by Elmhurst resident Joseph Vosicky Jr.
Highway Commissioner Richard Schroeder of Lombard will face Mark Pitchford of Lombard.
For the four trustee positions, incumbents Paul Hinds, Barbara Finn, Anthony Cuzzone and John Morrissey will face Democrats Catherine Sewell, Diane Blair-Sherlock, William McCarthy Jr. and Carol B. Davis.
