Rotary Club of Oak Brook celebrates milestone

OAK BROOK
The Rotary Club of Oak Brook marked its 50th anniversary recently, celebrating with members, family and guests at the Mon Ami Gabi banquet room.
Chartered in 1962, Oak Brook Rotary has been involved in charitable endeavors including the Diecke Home in Lombard, Polio Plus Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Veterans Assistance at Hines, Butler High School essay contest, Salvation Army, Easter Seals, Hines Hospital and presenting a Humanitarian Award.
The evening also included introduction of new officers, including Rick Ascher as president. Outgoing president Rick Kotarba was presented an award.
Oak Brook Village President Gopaul Lalmalani spoke, and past members and district officers attended.
A highlight was presenting a special award to Rotarian Tony Signorelli recognizing his 50 years of perfect attendance at meetings.
The Oak Brook Rotary meets weekly at Mon Ami Gabi Restaurant, 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays. ~.
