The following incidents were listed among the reports of the Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Oak Brook

DRUGS

Rahsaan O. Smiley, 20, of 530 Brookside Drive, Westmont, was stopped at 10:46 p.m. May 22 on Route 83 at 16th Street and charged with possession of marijuana.

THEFT

Maria Perez, 48, of 5635 Ada St., Chicago, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. May 16 and charged with retail theft at Sears, 2 Oakbrook Center, after allegedly attempting to steal a Dr. Rey Shapewear bra worth $52.

Oakbrook Terrace

DUI

Jonathon M. Mellone, 20, of 415 May St., Elmhurst, was stopped at 12:28 a.m. May 26 on Route 83 at Route 56 and charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THEFT

Between August 2011 and 2:08 p.m. May 28, someone stole a vase worth $400 from a grave site at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 17W201 Route 38.

Between 7 and 7:30 p.m. May 19, someone stole an iPad 2 worth $900 from an unlocked vehicle parked at Pete’s Fresh Market, 17W675 Route 38.
