A Cicero man has been charged with assault after Oakbrook Terrace police allege he hit another man with his truck at a convenience store.
Michael D. Blackman, 38, of 2319 S. 58th Court, Cicero, was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. June 22 after the alleged incident, which took place in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, 17W602 14th St.
According to police, Blackman allegedly struck a 47-year-old man with his truck in the parking lot. The report alleges Blackman got out of his vehicle and threatened the victim before leaving the scene in his truck on westbound 14th Street.
A responding officer located Blackman near the intersection of 14th and Danby streets.
Oakbrook Terrace Police Chief Wayne Holakovsky said Blackman was charged with failure to render aid and assault.
The victim was treated at the scene by the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District and refused transport to an area hospital.
Blackman posted bond later that night and is due in court in Wheaton on July 31.
