Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace police blotter for Sept. 10

The following incidents were listed among the reports of the Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Oak Brook
BURGLARY
A brief case and cell phone were reported stolen at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 4 from a vehicle parked on the 2600 block of York Road. One of the vehicle’s windows was smashed to gain entry.
HIT-AND-RUN
A vehicle was hit and damaged by another unknown vehicle at 10:18 a.m. Sept. 8 while parked in a lot on the 500 block of Oak Brook Road.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle was reported broken between 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and 1 a.m. Sept. 9 in a parking garage on the 2000 block of Spring Road.
Oakbrook Terrace
ALCOHOL
Courtney T. Preyer, 27, of 2200 S. Grace Ave., Lombard, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:54 a.m. Sept. 4 at Roosevelt Road and Salt Creek.
BATTERY
Edward H. Strong, 23, of 17W730 Butterfield Road, Oakbrook Terrace, was charged with battery at 3:12 p.m. Sept. 3 on the 17W700 block of Butterfield Road after reportedly punching another man.
HIT-AND-RUN
An unoccupied Lexus was reported damaged at 6:19 p.m. Sept. 5 while it was parked on the 17W200 block of Butterfield Road.~,.
