District 86 Board notes

In action this week, the Hinsdale High School District 86 Board:

Approved June 7 as the last day of school since no emergency days were used.

Discussed an amended budget, reflecting the $18 million bond sale from February. The amended budget is on public display; and a public hearing and budget adoption will take place June 4.

Approved the hiring of Canna and Canna, Ltd. to represent the district in their withdrawal from the La Grange Area Department of Special Education Cooperative.

OK’d a $62,095 expense for an asbestos abatement project by EHC Industries, Inc. to be completed over summer at Hinsdale Central High School.

Approved a base bid of $2,081,260 for concrete, masonry, structural steel, light fixtures and bleacher work to be completed over summer at both campuses.
