OAK BROOK — Oak Brook resident Gabrielle Headrick, a senior at Montini Catholic High School, has been selected as a recipient of the 2013-2014 Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship.

Scholarship recipients receive a one-time grant of $1,000. The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership skills, academic achievement, and a commitment to community service.

Headrick is an honor roll student, captain of the Montini Catholic Broncettes dance team, a member of the Student Government’s Executive Board, Hinsdale Hospital Junior Board and this spring will be a member of the Lady Broncos Softball Team. Through the hospital, she participated in a mission trip to Costa Rica.

She plans to attend the University of Alabama.
