The Montini Catholic dance team, the Broncettes, took home the Open Pom and Pom Division Championship as well as the Varsity Grand Championship award at the 2013 Team Dance Illinois State Competition.

The team performed one routine each in the 2A Open Pom Division and Pom Division. The dance program under Eugenia Scavone had brought home 19 state titles in the past 22 years and on March 3 they added 3 more titles to their trophy case.

The Varsity Grand Championship award includes a $500 grant from Alive Video. It is awarded to the top team across all dance disciplines (includes Flag, Winter Guard, Pom, Open Pom, Hip-Hop and Lyrical). The win was the first in Montini’s history. ~.
