The Robert Crown Center for Health Education’s inaugural Hunt for Health had participants searching around downtown Hinsdale Saturday night in a scavenger hunt for clues and raised about $28,000 in the process.
The madcap event began and ended at Immanuel Hall with refreshments, raffles and prizes. The scavenger hunt was designed for teams of 8-10 adults, who followed clues strategically placed in downtown landmarks and businesses. About 200 people participated.
The Hunt for Health is a fundraiser to support students who benefit from Crown Center’s educational programs.
“We think our hunt represents a perfect way to combine a fun, active and unique event with the goal of learning more about our community and the contributions RCC makes every day to fulfill our mission: helping kids lead healthy, happy and safe lives,” said Kathleen M. Burke, chief executive officer.
